Building Bridges for Investment

On 24 September 2026, the Rwanda High Commission in London hosted a business and investment networking evening, organised jointly with Property Power Room, a curated members’ network bringing together professionals across property, business, finance, hospitality and leadership, and Rwanda Business UK.

The event brought together guests from a wide range of business sectors across London, creating a valuable platform for networking, exchange and engagement on Rwanda’s growing business and investment opportunities.

Speaking to participants, High Commissioner Johnston Busingye highlighted the business and investment opportunities available in Rwanda. “The Government has created an environment conducive for business and investments by enacting business friendly laws, putting in place establishing services like the One Stop centre where all queries are answered under one roof, and several incentives provided to the investors.”

The High Commissioner also provided an overview of Rwanda’s history, economic transformation, business environment and Vision 2050, which aims to see Rwanda achieve high-income status by 2050.

Several other speakers highlighted Rwanda’s openness to investment, innovation, trade and tourism.

The event also offered participants an opportunity to engage directly with representatives from the Rwandan and UK business communities.

Rwanda’s visa openness was also highlighted, with UK and Commonwealth citizens not requiring a visa to enter the country, alongside the convenience of daily direct flights between London and Kigali operated by RwandAir.

RwandAir representative also informed guests of a seasonal 20% discount on flights from London to Kigali, offering participants an additional incentive to visit Rwanda and explore the country’s business and investment opportunities first-hand.

As part of its continued efforts to strengthen Rwanda’s profile in the United Kingdom, the High Commission regularly convenes events of this nature to connect with the UK business community, share Rwanda’s story and highlight the country’s evolving economic landscape. These engagements are already contributing to positive results across areas such as trade, tourism, fashion and fresh produce imports.
